Socratic Saturdays

Socratic teaching and learning is at the core of the Expanse experience. We believe that with engaging readings, students learn about a range of concepts, think deeply and challenge each other in debate. We mean it – so much so that every Saturday afternoon, the Expanse team meets to discuss and debate a reading assignment of its own, selected by none other than founder Michael Strong. So whether we’re discussing Jomo Kenyatta, James Carse or Aristotle, our Socratic Saturdays add a sense of needed perspective, especially during the winter months.

Contact us¬†if you’d like to receive an invitation to these conversations, and we’ll add you to our guest list. The conversations take place 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Central time. Readings are usually sent out a week in advance. There is no requirement to attend regularly, but we welcome those who do choose to join us.
